Stanwell owns and operates two of the most efficient and reliable coal-fired power stations, providing baseload electricity to meet current demand to users on the eastern seaboard of Australia.

Stanwell buys energy from independent renewable energy generators, partnering with them during planning and construction stages, to secure an offtake pipeline of clean energy for our current and future customers.

Stanwell sells electricity directly to large commercial and industrial energy users and indirectly through the National Energy Market (NEM). Our Energy Solutions team is known for their excellent service, providing tailored energy solutions for customers today, and supporting them on their sustainable energy journeys.

Stanwell invests in exciting renewable and firming energy projects in partnership with the private sector and industry players. In shaping the future of clean energy, we are exploring innovative options for energy generation and energy firming with world leaders in energy transition.

Stanwell have been optimising, operating and maintaining power stations for over 40 years. We are taking that knowledge and applying our processes, procedures, tools and skills into the management of new renewable energy and firming energy assets. This division will be a leading future employer for the energy industry.

Stanwell understands that new technology needs understanding and new skills. We have a range of articles and videos on how different technologies work available in the Info Hub and are on hand to unpack clean energy technology with communities at any stage. Our commitment to education also includes the development of a multi-million-dollar Future Energy Innovation and Training Hub (FEITH) to train both existing and new energy workers into clean energy jobs.
