EcoChoices is a Stanwell initiative aimed at reducing and offsetting the environmental footprints of the business. The program seeks to identify and implement initiatives to eliminate, reduce and offset water and energy consumption, and waste generation within the corporation’s non-production areas.
Individual employees or business teams can nominate, implement and participate in approved initiatives within the scope of the program. An employee working group is responsible for coordinating the EcoChoices program as well as assisting employees in submitting their proposals for consideration, ensuring a consistent approach to quantifying savings and costs.
The EcoChoices program does not include initiatives being considered at production areas which may reduce water consumption and/or improve efficiency of the electricity generation process. Production area initiatives are planned and implemented through our various maintenance and capital improvement processes.
