ENERGY.

GENERATED.

Stanwell owns and operates the leading coal-fired power stations in Queensland. The Tarong and Stanwell power stations have been providing power for the past 40 and 30 years respectively. They are flagship assets in the current electricity grid. We also harness waste from these plants for use in other industries.

Our assets are operated, maintained and managed with a dedicated team of people working around the clock to ensure reliable supply of electricity for the people and businesses of Queensland.

CURRENT RENEWABLE GENERATION

Stanwell’s own pipeline for renewable energy is growing fast, and to support this we are already off-taking renewable generated energy through these Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to supply our customers. PPAs will become continue to be a growing element of our generation mix as we transition to firmed, renewable energy. New PPAs are coming online every year, and you can find out more about these under ENERGY PROJECTS.

OUR CURRENT RENEWABLE GENERATION IS PROVIDED BY:

  • Blue Grass Solar Farm - 49 MW
  • Longreach Solar Farm - 17.4 MW
  • Oakey Solar Farm - 25 MW
  • Whitsunday Solar Farm - 57.5 MW
  • Kidston Solar Farm - 50 MW

The chart shows real-time data (5-minute) for each state including current dispatch price, demand, generation and flows. (Source: AEMO)
