Stanwell Culture

WHAT WE BELIEVE IN
Stanwell is an agile, responsive organisation with over 600 employees across Queensland. To keep our culture thriving, we focus on what matters: clear principles, consistent values, and a workplace that genuinely supports its people. This page offers a glimpse into what we stand for – if it resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.
Read our Code of ConductOUR VALUES
Our values – We Care, We Adapt, We Deliver – are the foundation of everything we do. They guide how we work with each other and how we engage with our partners, suppliers and communities. Living these values every day helps us create an environment where our people, our organisation and our stakeholders can thrive.
WE CARE
We demonstrate care by being inclusive and communicating openly. We prioritise physical and psychosocial safety and wellbeing, and consider the environmental and community impacts of our decisions. We support one another’s growth and success, and treat colleagues’ perspectives and contributions with respect.
WE ADAPT
Stanwell adapts and aligns with the energy needs and priorities of Queensland, and we look for people who are ready to grow with us and the changing energy industry. You’ll be encouraged to embrace change, be agile, and bring curiosity and continuous learning into your work. New ideas, diverse viewpoints and open discussion are welcomed. They’re how we move forward, together.
WE DELIVER
We’re focused on results, and we back it with action. We empower our people to be accountable, decisive and committed to quality outcomes. Working as one team, we deliver on our strategic goals and build trust by keeping our promises.
Are these values you share? We’d love to hear from you.
Contact UsOUR COMMITMENT TO EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
We are all about creating a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace. A dedicated team oversees our business-wide Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy, supported by an active community of practice and local working groups across our sites.
Our EDI strategy focuses on four key areas:
Respect: We believe that everyone deserves to feel respected, regardless of background, culture, gender, race, religion or belief working at Stanwell. We take action to prevent workplace violence, unlawful discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, vilification, victimisation, bullying and other harmful behaviours, and embed respect into all areas of our business practice.
Reconciliation: We recognise and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners of the lands where we live and work.. Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we’re building cultural awareness amongst employees, strengthening relationships, and embedding more inclusive practices across the business for First Nations peoples.

Age diversity: We value the knowledge and contribution of all generations. Whether you’re just starting your career or bringing decades of experience, you have a place at Stanwell. We track age diversity across the business and actively foster knowledge sharing across all levels of the business.
Gender equity: We are committed to removing barriers and ensuring that all employees — including women and gender-diverse people — have equitable access to opportunities. We track key metrics, including gender pay equity, and are proud to be a Work180 Endorsed Employer.
